I took up triathlon with essentially zero swimming background when I moved to Kailua- Kona, Hawaii in 2017 for a traveling physical therapist position. It was a steep learning curve, but after quite a bit of work in all three disciplines, I have qualified for multiple World Championship events. I am currently a physical therapist working out of the athletic training facility at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, 90 minutes from the family farm I grew up on. Being a physical therapist, I love to promote health and human performance and triathlon offers a great platform for this. Since joining the team, my family has been blessed with a daughter and now I get to add running races with a stroller to my resume.
