Hi! My name is Benjamin Stone, I am a former collegiate swimmer turned triathlete. I got into the sport of triathlon as a means to recovery from shoulder reconstructive surgery during my junior year of college. In my first summer of racing I managed to compete in my first 70.3 where I qualified for 70.3 WC.
I returned to collegiate swimming my senior year setting 3 school records before fully turning my focus to the sport of triathlon. I had a great season that summer posting a new PR 70.3 on the world championship course in South Africa. and really working on my running during the winter.
This past year I raced for the Fullsend Triathlon Team, racking up 7 wins across the sprint and Olympic distances, most notably winning the Chicago Triathlon (turned duathlon). I placed 11th in the 20-24 age group at national in the Olympic Distance and 10th Overall in the Sprint.
When I am not training, eating or sleeping I work as a Process Development Engineer for Boston Scientific and am pursing my MBA.
