I am semi retired chiropractor, triathlon coach and athlete. I have been racing triathlons for approximately 15 years. I had a choice to make, either the bottle or the bike, as I was going through a nasty divorce and luckily chose the bike. Since then I have been training and racing.
After 25 years in practice I could no longer take the apathy of most of the clients I treated and their refusal to take the restoration of their health in their own hands resulting me pursuing my coaching certification with USAT. I am now mostly retired from practice and focus the majority of my energies on coaching, training and racing.
I am USAT Level 1 and Elite Youth and Junior Certified, a certified Ironman coach and have multiple other certifications in running, swimming and power for cycling.
I coach a group of approximately 30 athletes and work part time in a bike shop to help pay for my bike habit.
In December of 2018 I underwent a right total hip replacement for a past injury which had been hampering me for many years. The surgery was a success and I am back racing, short course this year with plans on racing 3-4 70.3's next year with a smattering of short course events.
