I am an amateur age group triathlete, that has had the opportunity to compete in everything from sprints to full Ironman distance races. My sweet spot is in the sprint and Olympic distances, but routinely do the 70.3 distance with our local tri club, BCS Tri Club. I have a 6 year old son, who recently recieved his first pedal bike, so he is now riding with me while I do some of my shorter rides.
People tend to know me for being the guy to show up with everything but the kitchen sink to group rides, races, etc. Not necessarily for me, but to ensure that no-one is left out of the group ride due to forgetting or having a malfunction with their equipment.
I am currently serving as the vice president of our tri club and will rotate into the president position next year. Over the past year we have had a big push to not only gain new membership but also "convert" some of our running or cycling only local athletes to the world of multisport.
